Howdy folks! This is Lisa chiming in to share this week’s song called “All I Have is Yours.” When I recorded this demo way back in 2018, I thought this song was about a troubled relationship (and perhaps it is), but I also think this song could be about the internet. My folks were early adopters of the home computer (my name comes from the Lisa Macintosh, haha!) and we eventually got the internet for my parents’ home business computer. I remember the interminable bleeps and blarps endured before the home page finally fired up. Fast forward to now: technology is everywhere, zooming faster than we can keep up with. The chorus line “All I have is yours” is a confession of desire, but through our participation online, things can become dark quickly. We have access to so many things, arguably more than any generation before us, yet with this access there is also great cost. There are a lot of things that we can’t unsee and we can’t undo.
This demo features the Lowery Magic Genie organ and vocals. I recorded it in the basement of the Gladstone House. Our landlord at that house bought the beastly Lowery for his son hoping that he would take to the instrument, but I fell in love with it over the decade we lived at that house. I loved its ooey gooey patches and reverb, the broken and crackly Leslie speaker, and the “Rock III” drum patch. I tried out a pushed and brassy vocal sound in this one inspired by my friend Patti’s band Patrician. Her record “Matters in Such a Manner” was fresh on my mind at the time.
Thanks for listening and enjoy the start of summer.

lyrics
I can go wherever I please
Feels so right but not what I need
Walk on by and watch all them bleed
Out of sight out of sight
Push them back so they will fight more
Bait them on the line just for sport
Kill and eat
Release the hounds
Take my fear - release me to see you
All I have is yours
All I have is yours

Hell ya to And And And's songwriting, drummer Bim Ditson's post-punk mania and Berg Radin's swarm-of-bees guitar lines… there are few bands in PDX that get me this emotional involved. ♡ this band. Sama Dams
Andy played sax over Dirty Work and killed it over two other tracks that we've got in the vault. This release shows the depth of his great talents, and the shape of his unique musical mind. Aw yeah. Sama Dams
The songs on Kelly Reed’s latest are slyly self-deprecating, set to a backdrop of measured keys and guitar for maximum stateliness. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 16, 2023
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023
